Below is a list of common questions about our new High-Speed Internet offering in Gypsum, Colorado. If you have other questions, please feel free to Contact Us.
Where is the service available?
Airport Gateway Business Park
What’s involved with the set-up?
Once you place an order, we need to verify your home is along a currently active route on our network.
We will then schedule with you an installation, which may involve installing a drop cable from the hand hole, and routing the cable inside your home.
Is this DSL or will you be running a line to my house?
Our service in Gypsum is delivered over our own 100% FIBER network. We will run a new cable drop from the hand hole to your home or business.
Fiber-Optic cable is capable of much higher transmission speeds than telephone wire; and, it is far more reliable.
How does the service connect to the Internet?
Our service in Gypsum connects over fiber-optic cable directly to our network access point in town; from there to our regional fiber ring that connects Grand Junction, Denver, Durango, Montrose and Farmington; and from there to the Internet.
Are there differences between the 1000MB, 100MB and the 30MB residential service beyond what’s listed on the web page?
The only difference is the speed profile. The upstream speed on any package is the same as the downstream speed – the speeds are symmetrical.
Do I have to pay for a modem even if I already have one? If I have one, is configuration included as part of the set-up fee?
We will provide a Fiber modem; you will be responsible for a “WiFi Router” or other firewall router. We can provide you a managed WiFi Router for $8 per month, which includes ongoing support; if it breaks, we replace it.
How long is the price valid for?
The prices on our web site are our standard prices, not a promotional price.
Are there penalties if I cancel my service? Do you have a service contract that I can see?
All service is month to month and there is no penalty to cancel service.
Do you guarantee minimum speeds, and if so, what are they?
All speeds are “up to” the rated speed, and we cannot guarantee a particular speed to specific Internet web sites or locations.
Our goal is to deliver the speed you are paying us for all the time. We will carefully monitor and manage our network to ensure optimal rated performance for all users.
I believe you’re asking for $99 for installation up-front?
In the event we are unable to install to your home for some reason, we will refund your installation fee in full.
